Hotel details
Luxury, 5* pamper resort by a white sand private beach on the Indian Ocean. The resort specialises in Ayurveda and holistic cure programmes.
Where you are going...
Angsana Balaclava is located in a tucked-away cove in Turtle Bay, northwest Mauritius. The drive to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolan International Airport (MRU) takes around 1 hour.
Why you’ll love it...
Luxury, luxury and more luxury. And all that luxury in a stunning, secluded bay. From your suite, walk bare foot directly onto a white sand beach. The writer Mark Twain said of Mauritius: “Mauritius was made first and then heaven; and heaven was copied after Mauritius”. Here at Angsana Balaclava, you can very well see where he was coming from. And the angels of the Angsana Balaclava team will go out of their way to give you the holiday of a lifetime.
Wellness, Spa and Health
All therapists at the Angsana Spa qualify from the renowned Banyan Tree Spa Academy in Thailand and Indonesia. All spa treatments – from Indian head massage to Ayurveda and hot stone massage – are of exceptional quality. The emphasis here is on holistic therapies and authentic Ayurveda treatments that take place under the watchful eye of an Ayurveda doctor. There is an infinity pool (heated during the Mauritian winter), a seawater lagoon pool, modern fitness centre, six treatment rooms, hydrotherapy, a vitality jet pool, sauna and hammam.

What’s on the Menu
Dining at Angsana Balaclava is a joy. The chef at the main restaurant, Oryza, takes inspiration from Asian fusion, international cuisine and Mauritian creole cooking. The principle: Food should not only be a source of nourishment, but a source of pleasure, too. Oryza serves breakfast and dinner that can be enjoyed inside or outside in the garden. For a romantic evening, book a private dinner on the beach. Or if you’re feeling the need to retreat, breakfast, lunch and dinner can also be served in your room. Lunch with your toes in the sand or sip on a signature cocktail at the bar whilst paddling your feet in the water; the Passion Chill & Swim-up Pool Bar serves tasty lunch options, juices and cocktails. Drinks and light snacks can also be enjoyed at the stylish Sylea bar.
