Longevity Health & Medical Hotel is a brand new adults-only Destination Spa with a state-of-the-art wellness centre for preventative, medical and holistic wellbeing programmes in the heart of the Algarve.

Where you are going...

Just around the corner is Alvor, a pleasant, authentically Portuguese village yet to be discovered by the tourist masses. With its narrow streets and harbour where fishermen can be seen repairing their nets, the place has a traditional Portuguese feel about it. The promenade (2km from the hotel) makes for a pleasant walk. The beach (Tres Irmaos) is also within 2km of Longevity Health & Wellness Hotel. Faro is the closest airport, 72km away.

Prevention is better than cure, so they say. And that’s also the Longevity Health & Wellness Hotel approach. Their detox, balance, anti-stress and relax programmes for a healthier, more active and happier version of you are designed around the philosophy ‘live not only longer, but better’. The programmes take a 360-degree approach that combines medical and holistic therapies and the right nutrition. In addition to the programmes, you can also book various treatments, including deep tissue massage, sports massage, facials, body wraps, aromatherapy and reflexology. The adults-only ‘wet and relax’ area has a pool, sauna, steam room and Turkish bath/hammam. There is also a 24-hour gym.

What’s on the Menu

The cuisine at main restaurant, Mediterrânico is inspired by functional food. `This means that the chef not only does his best to serve up delicious meals, but that the dishes he prepares contain anti-inflammatory ingredients and alkaline components that promote a more favourable pH-balance within the body. With the delicious, colourful dishes, the hope is to inspire guests to adapt their eating habits, moving towards a more balanced, sustainable and modest diet. The organic produce is sourced from local markets and producers. There is a range of juice fast diets available, as well as a comprehensive selection of vegetarian and gluten-free options, protein-based dishes and dishes with a low glycaemic index. Breakfast consists of a breakfast buffet. The Tea Lounge on the ground floor serves vegetarian bites to be enjoyed alongside a calming cup of tea. Coffee more your thing? If so, head to the third floor where you can enjoy savour a cup whilst enjoying panoramic views of Alvor bay.

All 70 soundproof, light rooms are contemporary in their design and have a bathroom with a shower plus toiletries. The accommodation includes flat screen-TV, coffee machine, kettle, mineral water, hairdryer, air-conditioning and a safe. A bathrobe and slippers are also provided for you. Room service is available 24-hours. Rooms are cleaned daily.

uitzicht is heerlijk vanaf terras met zwembad bij Longevity Alvor. Het gebouw is niet mijn favoriete stijl maar het uitzicht is veel belangrijker ;-)

Relax & Spa

Superaardig personeel, zowel bij de receptie als bij de ontbijtbar. Nieuwe en schone kamers. De sportschool is klein maar zeer modern en bijna altijd leeg.

De spa is erg goed. Er zijn meestal niet veel mensen. Hoogstens een of twee koppels.

Kortom, ik zou terugkeren naar dit hotel.

Weightloss

Wat een top weekend. De kilo's vlogen er vanaf en ik voel me beter in mijn vel dan ooit! Er is niets wat kan evenaren met deze ervaring. Eeeeeuwig dankbaar!
