Travel Advice

In 2020 across the globe, borders were closed and people were asked to stay home to prevent the spread of the virus. This lead to a 70% fall in international arrivals in the first 8 months of 2020 and continues to have an impact on flight capacity and the travel industry as a whole. Thanks to vaccines and less restrictions travel has now opened up much more widely!

As we know, the travel industry has been greatly impacted by global restrictions on travel and the subsequent economic fallout of such limitations.

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) have reported that a staggering 62 million travel and tourism jobs were lost in 2020 due to the effects of the pandemic.

In light of COVID-19 travel restrictions, many travellers have understandably felt uneasy about booking breaks or even travelling during the pandemic.

Here at Pureandcure, we’ve seen a rise, where restrictions have allowed, in clients taking extended wellbeing holidays in our more remote luxury destinations. We’ve also seen a rise in those choosing to holiday domestically or within a day driving destinations that help to boost fitness, wellbeing and immunity on soil closer to home.
