Reviews of Borgo Egnazia

Mijn echtgenoot heeft me verrast met een verblijf in Borgo Egnazia voor ons 10 jarig jubileum. Eerlijk gezegd was ik op het begin sceptisch omdat het een groot familie resort is. 

We arriveerde in de nacht, en kregen een geweldige, ruime, schone kamer met een groot terras en prachtig uitzicht op zee. Het hotel lijkt op een klein dorp, is super schoon en het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk, gastvrij en zorgzaam.

Paolo, de manager van gastrelaties, zorgt voor elk klein detail. Hij zorgt er voor dat je naar het juiste restaurant gaat en dat je dag perfect aansluit bij jouw wensen. 

Alles is perfect tot in elk detail. Elk hotel zou moeten leren hoe je een hotel moet managen! Ik heb nu al plannen om terug te komen met onze kinderen. Bedankt dat je ons als koninklijk hebt laten voelen!

My husband and I just arrived back home from a wonderful vacation. We had the great fortune of spending time at the Borgo Egnazia. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by our lovely and efficient "concierge", Adriana. She toured the property with us and answered all the questions we had. She also took the opportunity to learn what our expectations were for the resort as well as for the region of Puglia. She made all the arrangements necessary and provided an itinerary in our suite. Her recommendations were very thoughtful and we enjoyed each evening that she planned for us, including dinner reservations and transportation. The resort itself is self-contained, lovely and unique. The aromas were amazing. The suite,well appointed and very comfortable. The service and food were excellent. Breakfast each morning was a delightful feast served in a beautiful room and/terrace. How I miss my freshly made vegetable juice with ginger!! The beach is also great. We had wonderful service, very comfortable lounges and easy access to swim in the sea. The beach restaurant had a wonderful menu, where we took shade and relaxed with a grilled fish and salad mid day....and a cold glass of white! The shuttle is easily available and it is also nice to take out the bicycles for a country ride. The local towns (you will need a car or service provided by the resort) are not crowded with tourists (yet). The towns are authentic, with the tourists happening upon them instead of being created for them. The service at the resort is efficient without being pretentious. The atmosphere is relaxed. The management team does an excellent job in providing exemplary service on every level. We were expecting great things...and they exceeded our expectations on every level.

Het is net een klein dorp met slim ontworpen kamers, huisjes en villa's. Het voelt alsof je de enige bent, het is magisch. Het strand was geweldig, met heel attent personeel en een prachtig restaurant. Het hotel heeft een perfecte ligging om alle verschillende dorpjes en steden in het gebied te verkennen. Een must is het Truli huis en de grotten. Het eten, net als in de rest van Italië, is geweldig. Ik vond het hele gebied fantastisch. 

It’s a mini village with cleverly designed rooms houses and villas. You feel like the only people there. It’s quite magical. Love the beach area with its attentive staff and beautiful beach restaurant.

The hotel is perfectly placed to explore all the different villages and towns in the area. A must is the Truli house and the caves. Food, as in the rest of Italy, is on the whole superb. Loved the whole area.

Mijn vrouw en ik verbleven een week in Borgo Egnazia in de laatste week van juli en hadden een geweldige tijd. Het resort is prachtig en ziet er uit als een Italiaans dorp. De zwembaden en stranden zijn fantastisch en het restaurant bij het zandstrand is spectaculair. We kregen persoonlijk een conciërge, Rosemary, aangewezen, die buitengewoon was. Zij organiseerde al onze uitstapjes en gaf ons een geweldig kijkje in het leven in Puglia. Het ontbijt was voortreffelijk en de service van het gehele personeel was zonder uitzondering het beste van het beste. Alle restaurants op het terrein waren geweldig. Toen we dineerde in het high-end restaurant op het terrein kregen we zelfs onze eigen persoonlijke tour van de keuken - wat een verrassing! Het management van het hotel weet hoe zij hun gasten in de watten moet leggen. We willen zeker terug naar Borgo Egnazia, het was een geweldige vakantie voor ons!
