Reviews of Mangosteen Ayurveda & Wellness Resort, Phuket (Thailand)

We have just returned from Phuket after spending 7 nights at this amazing boutique resort. On a hilly setting the villas (not rooms) are extremely spacious and beautifully decorated with a good mix of modern and traditional decor.The main room includes a lounging area with a cushioned sofa, coffee table, bar fridge (with really well priced mini-bar), coffee/tea facilities, desk, t.v., and an extremely comfortable bed. Plenty of hanging and drawer space in the wardrobe along with a room safe for your valuables.The separate bathroom houses the pretty glass hand basin and the toilet - the shower (choice to use either rain head or handheld) is located outside (completely private) under a roof of thatch. The staff are amazing also - always smiling and a friendly greeting. Service is second to none. We ate at the restaurant most days and found the meals to be delicious and plentiful.The resort may not be beach front but there is a shuttle service 3 times a day to a local beach, and the view out across the bay from the pool is glorious. We would love to return here one day

Prachtige locatie op een kleine heuvel, met onbelemmerd zicht vanaf ongeveer alle kamers en ruimtes. Bij check-in werden we warm ontvangen, en ondanks dat we een vroege aankomst hadden ondervonden we geen problemen omdat we al voor de officiële tijd in de kamer konden. Het hotel ligt iets verder van de stranden af, maar er is een gratis shuttle bus die 5 keer per dag gaat. Een shuttle gaat ook naar lokale markten, zeker de moeite waard! 

De kamers zijn groot en ruim, evenals de bedden. Het personeel zorgt ervoor dat alles schoon blijft, op het gehele terrein. Onze badkamer had een buiten regendouche en jacuzzi, van alle gemakken werd voorzien. We hebben ontzettend genoten van elk onderdeel van ons verblijf, het personeel was zo ontzettend vrolijk en vriendelijk. Ik zou zeker dit resort aanraden aan iedereen, en ik zou zeker terug gaan!
