Where can we find you? I lead yoga weekends in the Netherlands and retreats in Spain for Puurenkuur.
Which style of yoga do you teach? A blend of Dru yoga and Hatha yoga, plus some exercises inspired by mindfulness and Yoga Nidra. The classes contain fluid movements and great sequences such as the Earth Salutation, classical yoga postures, breathing techniques and a long final relaxation. I focus a lot on the spinal column, exercises to eliminate stress and tension and we practice 'energy block releases'. Those are sequences of gentle stretches, twists and bends that help release energy blockages.
What are your classes characterised by? Relaxation, movement and variety. Every class is a new adventure. I invite people to connect with themselvces: what does a certain movement do for you? Are you experiencing an inner quiet? There is always a place for humour in my classes, and I make sure that they are accessible to all.
What do others say about you? People say they like my voice and that I come across as enthusiastic, calm and attentive. One of my students said: "Karin guides us skillfully and lovingly through the exercises. She always keeps an eye on each individual. Her classes are varied and inspiring, with plenty of opportunity to relax - and have a giggle!"
