Euphoria Retreat combines Greek medicine, philosophy, and traditional Chinese medicine through the concept of the five elements, which forms the basis of their wellness programs and spa treatments. The spa, spanning three floors, draws inspiration from the Byzantine Empire with its elegant arches, vaults, and intricate mosaics, all bathed in natural light from large windows. The ground floor hosts the spa reception, a fitness center, and Kneipp baths. The fitness area features the latest Technogym equipment and a dedicated Pilates room. The first floor includes an indoor pool, a relaxation area, and an outdoor patio with lounge chairs. The indoor pool connects to a heated outdoor pool, and there's an outdoor hot tub nestled in nature. The first floor also houses the sauna area, which includes steam baths, a hammam, a Finnish sauna, an ice bath, and a tepidarium with heated stone loungers. There are 45 treatment rooms, with 3 located outdoors offering views of the valley. The second floor features a spacious yoga room and a smaller meditation room. Euphoria Retreat offers a variety of themed programs, including yoga, relaxation, de-stress, detox, emotional balance, weight loss, Pilates, and fitness. Programs range from extensive and immersive to short and relaxing. Comprehensive wellbeing programs including a consultation with a nutritionist include full board with snacks, while shorter and less intensive programs can be booked based on breakfast, half board, or full board without snacks.

Euphoria Retreat embraces this philosophy, highlighting locally sourced ingredients known for their anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and immune-boosting properties. Guests have the option to choose between breakfast-only, half-board, or full-board stays. For those opting for a full-board wellbeing program, which includes a consultation with a nutritionist (such as detox or weight loss programs), three nutritious meals tailored to individual needs are provided daily, along with two personalized snacks. Vegan and vegetarian options are readily available, and meals are crafted based on each guest's initial consultation and assessments. If your stay is just on breakfast, halfboard or fullboard, you can select meals from the menu. At Restaurant Gaia, you have a choice to sit alone at a table or join a communal table, fostering connections with fellow guests. Additionally, the resort features a cozy bar offering a range of healthy beverages, smoothies, and light alcoholic drinks.

The 45 rooms and suites are elegantly designed with so much care and attention to detail, featuring walls adorned with gold relief and lamps shaped like natural objects inspired by the surrounding forest. Each room and suite offers exceptional comfort, (such as the mattresses!), excellent showers, and lovely amenities such as a kettle and a Nespresso machine. The marble bathrooms are equipped with a bathtub or shower. Additionally, all rooms and suites feature a balcony or terrace with views of either the forest or the valley.
Ik heb dit ervaren als een stukje hemel op aarde. De plek is prachtig, de mensen zijn vriendelijk, het eten is heerlijk en de behandelingen zijn geweldig. Dit is zonder twijfel de hardcore versie van wellness.

Het is een zeer bijzondere plek, niet een klassiek spa oord maar eentje met een zeer holistische aanpak. Ik vond dat geweldig door alle verschillende behandelingen in energiewerk en healings. Het personeel was zeer vakkundig en professioneel. Ze hebben een fantastische gym met pilates reformer en cadillac, waar ik als ervaren gebruiker gratis op kon zonder personal trainer. Het emotional harmony programma was vol en intensief zonder al te veel gepraat - je kreeg dingen terug die ze gevoeld hadden in je energie of in je lijf, maar je mag zelf er op kauwen en kijken wat resoneert. Ik vond dat zelf erg prettig.
De gasten kwamen van over de hele wereld en je kon contact opzoeken of niet - er hangt een serene sfeer waarin iedereen vooral voor zichzelf komt, maar er echt ook ruimte is voor contact. Als je niet voor een sapjes of detox kuur gaat, weet dan dat elke maaltijd meerdere gangen kent waaruit je kan kiezen. Erg lekker en al snel veel te veel! ;-) Ook wordt er gewoon een wijntje geserveerd, dus er komen mensen die willen genieten van het leven. De spa bleek ook nog eens in de top 5 van Europa te staan. Voor mij voelde het als een one in a lifetime luxe, en door het intensieve programma ook niet iets wat elk jaar hoeft.

Het was een hele bijzondere, mooie week. Euphoria heeft echt iets bijzonders, dat merk je als je daar een week bent geweest. De combinatie van de prachtige locatie, tegen de bossen/bergen aan waardoor je dagelijks een flinke hike kan maken en de adembenemende SPA, zou ik een ieder aanraden hier een week tot jezelf te komen. De keuken is goed, beetje eentonig, dat zou het enige zijn wat ik zou aanpassen, dat er iets meer variëteit is in de menukaart. Het team is heel erg vriendelijk en de behandelingen zijn top.
