You'll be staying right on the beach at Ayurvie Weligama - Ayurvedic Retreat (part of the Thema Collection). The resort is just a five-minute drive from Weligama Bay, a picturesque fishing village popular among surfers and whale watchers. The beach is renowned as one of the best in Sri Lanka. The historic city of Galle is a 45-minute drive away and makes for a lovely day trip. Ayurvie has a sister hotel in the magical Sigiriya where you could also choose to stay for part of your journey.

Rooms
Ayurvie's 26 rooms range from deluxe to garden lofts and master suites. In accordance with your dosha type—Vata, Pitta, or Kapha—you can select a room in a color of your choice. Televisions are not provided. The rooms feature private bathrooms, air conditioning, a hairdryer, and a safe. Filtered water for drinking and a kettle are provided in the rooms. Additionally, a bathrobe, slippers, and a yoga mat are available for your use. Mosquito nets are available upon request.

We hadden het geluk om in Ayuvie te verblijven voor een 7-daagse Ayurveda-retraite, onze eerste maar zeker niet de laatste! Een echte aanrader, vanwege het ontzettend vriendelijke personeel, het waanzinnig lekkere eten en de zeer professionele en verjongende Ayurvedische behandelingen.
De locatie is ook geweldig, naast het strand. We komen zeker terug!
