Beneath the monastery lies the San Bernardo thermal spring, first discovered by local monks in the 12th century. Its mineral-rich waters, containing sulphates, calcium and sodium, are still the heart of the spa experience today. These waters are known to aid digestion, support liver health, improve metabolism and circulation, relax muscles and enhance overall wellbeing.

The hydrothermal complex features two mineral-medicinal thermal pools: a heated indoor pool and an outdoor pool with views of the monastery gardens. Guests will also find jacuzzis, bubble seats, multiple water jets, contrast baths, a sauna, hammam and a stone foot bath. The average water temperature is between 32º–34ºC.

In addition, the spa offers 16 treatment rooms where guests can enjoy a wide range of massages, beauty treatments and therapeutic programs. A true highlight is the Capilla de San Pedro treatment, a private ritual held in a stunning replica of the monastery’s chapel. With atmospheric lighting, the session begins with an exfoliation using Castilla Termal products, followed by bi-thermal showers, hot and cold pools, sauna, hammam and stone foot bath.

Beyond the spa facilities, guests can also make use of a well-equipped gym and relax on the outdoor terrace by the pool.
