Meet the Team

In 2005, she founded PureandCure, paving the way for Health & Wellbeing travel. She enjoys cycling and walking. Known for her straightforwardness and authenticity, with a bit of impatience in between. Loves to cook, especially curries and tacos. Her favourite destination is Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary in Koh Samui (Thailand), closely followed by Masqi, nestled in the Spanish countryside. As a child, she dreamed of building a house in the Efteling theme park, but now, in her 50's, she feels like a citizen of the world. Whenever an ABBA song plays, her inner dancing queen emerges. Her ultimate wish is expansion of more health and wellbeing hotels, as they contribute to a better world. But above all, she's recognized as an innovator in the wellness industry, always seeking out for new destinations and concepts.

Best start to the day: coffee! Closely followed by a combination of oats, blueberries and soya yoghurt. A typical world-traveler, as she has been to more than 50 countries! A dedicated member of the team since 2012, she worked her way up to the position of Manager Operations. Among her favorite destinations is Sri Lanka, where she recently tested all our Ayurveda hotels. She is known for her perfectionism and attention to detail. She loves to knit (we adore our tailor-made scarves!) and her baking skills are exceptional (brownies: soft inside, crispy outside). And yes, we persuade her to participate in the Dutch version of The Great British Bake Off. But above all, she manages operations to ensure our guests can travel with peace of mind. 

Our Excel virtuoso, she has an extraordinary talent for unraveling even the most intricate hotel contracts with ease. Since joining our team in 2018, she has brought her global perspective, having spent half her life outside the Netherlands. Fun fact: during her time at the Taipei British School in Taiwan, she won a coloring competition for designing the best bookmark. A true multi-talent, she excels not only at playing games but also at organizing the perfect health holiday. Her favorite destination? The serene Euphoria Retreat in Greece, loved for its ambiance and intimate charm. But above all, she ensures that our hotels are optimally presented and prices are accurately managed.

Warm-hearted, enthusiastic, loyal, and a true team player, she brings her passions to life through her work. While she has many interests, travel and cooking stand out above the rest. Her favorite experience? A memorable culinary journey at 'La Colombe Restaurant' in Cape Town—a gift that perfectly combined her two loves. She’s especially drawn to South Africa for its breathtaking variety of landscapes, cultures, and wildlife. And, of course, the exceptional African wine. She couldn’t be more excited to showcase South Africa as our latest wellness destination. Passionate about sharing life’s beauty, she delights in creating unforgettable memories with her adult daughters. But for her, the true reward comes when Puurenkuur clients return from their travels rejuvenated and happy.

A former tree surgeon. He loves trees! The older, the better. Being in nature rejuvenates him,  believing that nature destinations are the best places to visit. However, closer to home, he enjoys hiking along sections of the Pieterpad walking trail. Nowadays, his focus has shifted to computers. Has a special connection to China, thanks to his wife, Sissy. Is learning Chinese when he isn’t watching football. He's a devoted parent to his lovely twins, Evi & Sem and cherishes his three Bs: Beer, Bubbeltje, and Baobei (the cats). He is open to change, but can also be quite stubborn at times. But above all, he ensures that the PureandCure website, CMS, and operational systems run smoothly.

She's the undisputed daredevil of the team. She thrills in diving with manta rays and sharks, seeking the adrenaline rush. If these marine creatures are out of town, she’ll recharge with a refreshing mango bowl instead. Her favourite relaxation spot is the sauna, to unwind with friends. Given the chance, she loves to explore Mexico, a country she considers to 'have it all'. or Thailand as a good second best. Interesting twist: she reads horror books and has a phobia of cotton wool balls... But above all, she meticulously attends to details, striving for her holiday descriptions to instantly evoke the dream vacation images in people's minds. 

Meet our beloved dogs! IO, our lively little dachshund, loves to chase after Bobbie, our gentle labradoodle, in a playful attempt to catch her tail. When they’re not zooming around the office, you’ll find them snuggled up in their dog beds, mindfully napping, or coming over to beg for a cuddle. These two bring joy to our team, providing much-needed relaxation on busy days. If you happen to hear a bark or two during a call with us, it’s probably Io or Bobbie chiming in—think of it as our daily mindfulness reminder.
